2015 All-Star Series Itinerary

 

Wednesday June 17, 2015 (FOR COACHES ONLY – NO PLAYERS):

  • 5:00 p.m. - Check in at Chaska Inn and Suites and head over to B.I.G. Headquarters in Chanhassen for dinner and to review itinerary, rules, and procedures.
  • 8:30 p.m. – Head back to hotel where coaches can meet further, if needed, in the hotel.

 

Thursday June 18, 2015 (PLAYERS REPORT TODAY) :

  • 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Metro West All Stars report to Chaska Athletic Park for team meeting, practice, and pictures.
    • Players should be wearing their team issued uniform during their practice session.
  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Metro East All Stars report to Chaska Athletic Park for team meeting, practice, and pictures.
    • Players should be wearing their team issued uniform during their practice session.

Metro East and Metro West Teams – Bowling – at 2:30

  • 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – South All Stars report to Chaska Athletic Park for team meeting, practice, and pictures.
  • 2:00 Bus Arrives for 2:30 p.m. Metro East and West teams go bowling and out to lunch
    • Players should be wearing their team issued uniform during their practice session.
  • 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – North report to Chaska Athletic Park for team meeting, practice, and pictures.
    • Players should be wearing their team issued uniform during their practice session.
  • 5:30 p.m. – All Teams Checked in at Chaska Inn and Suites.
  • 6:00 - 2 Buses Arrive to take players and coaches to Hazeltine for the banquet.
  • 6:20 p.m. – meet in hotel lobby to depart for banquet.
  • 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Play Ball MN! High School All-Star Series Banquet at Hazeltine.
  • 10 p.m. – midnight p.m. – Free time with snacks and beverages back at the hotel if you’d like.
  • Midnight – bed checks by the coaches and lights out.

 

Friday June 19, 2015:

  • 2 Games for the day:
    • 2:30 p.m. – South vs. Metro East (9 innings)
    • Approximately 7:05 p.m. – North vs. Metro West (9 innings)

Daily Schedule

  • 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. – North and West -  breakfast in hotel and board bus at 9 a.m.
  • 8:30 to 9:00 – East and South  - breakfast in hotel and head to Chaska Athletic Field for clinic at 9:30
  • 9:30 to 11:30 – Youth Baseball Clinics @ Chaska(East and South) and Minnetonka (West & North)
  • 11:30 to 12:15 – Lunch in Chaska or Minnetonka Miracle Fields.
  • 1:00  - Metro East and South report to the field for pre-game batting practice.
  • 1:55 – Infield/Outfield Metro East and South.
  • 2:30 p.m. – First pitch between Metro East and South. 
  • 4:30 p.m. – Metro West and North report to the field. 
  • 5:00 – Boxed Dinners (sandwiches) out at the field
  • 5:15 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies (All 4 Teams are introduced with their high school coach,
  • large group picture and Coaches invited to a social at the BIG Tent.
  • 5:45 p.m. – Homerun Derby – 1 rep from each team with E. Welter as pitcher – 10 outs
  • 6:30 p.m. –  Infield/Outfield for Metro West and North.
  • 7:00 – First Pitch Ceremony for Hall of Famers and Platinum Sponsors
  • 7:05 p.m. – First pitch between Metro West and North.
  • 10:00 p.m. – Papa John’s back at the hotel. 
  • 12:00 A.M. – bed checks by the coaches and lights out.

 

Saturday June 20, 2015 (Family Day at the Ball Park):

  • 4 Games for the day (all games are 7 innings):
    • 10:00 a.m. – North vs. Metro East.
    • 12:30 p.m. – Metro West vs. South
    • 3:00 p.m. – North vs. South
    • 6:00 p.m. – Metro East vs. Metro West
  • 8:00 to 8:30 – North and Metro East report to restaurant for breakfast.
  • 8:30 to 9:00 – South and Metro West report to restaurant for breakfast.
  • 8:30  - North and East report to Chaska Athletic Park
  • 9:25 - 9:55 – North and Metro East take infield/outfield.
  • 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. – North vs. Metro East.
  • 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. – South and Metro West take infield/outfield.
  • 12:00 – North and Metro East – lunch provided at the park. (Concession Coupons)
  • 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. – South vs. Metro West.
  • 2:30 – Metro West and South – lunch provided at the park (Concession Coupons)
  • 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. – Field clean up, Infield/Outfield if North or South chooses. 
  • 3:00 – North vs. South.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Closing ceremonies (all players and coaches receive plaques).
  • 5:30 p.m. – Infield/Outfield for Metro West and Metro East.
  • 6:00 p.m. – Metro West vs. Metro East.
