Message from Executive Director Craig Anderson

On behalf of our Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association, I am proud to announce that we are going to partner with the Minnesota Twins to put together a MSHSBCA/Minnesota Twins Clinic, on January 13-14, 2023, at beautiful Target Field.

In addition, a Youth Baseball Clinic will be presented in a different area within the facility.  Our MSHSBCA Clinic staff, Mark Downey, Paul Twenge, and Don Gawreluk, will be working with the Twins to choose the topics that most interest our coaches.  We will be concluding the weekend with our Hall of Fame banquet on Saturday night, also at Target Field.

We appreciate the feedback received from you, our coaches, in determining the time of year to hold our clinic.  A majority of coaches preferred to have the clinic moved away from fall tournament season and deer hunting.  The survey also indicated that having it closer to the start of the high school season would be a great way to prepare for the upcoming season. January 13-14  are also prime dates for the Twins organization as they prepare for their Winter Caravan and Spring Training.

We want to thank Twins president Dave St. Peter and the entire Twins organization for their ongoing support of baseball in our state.  Being able to hold our clinic sessions in one of the premier baseball stadiums in the nation, should make for a fantastic event!

By financially supporting our Play Ball Minnesota All-Star Baseball Series, allowing our State Championships games to be played at Target Field, and providing two complimentary tickets to our membership for two games per month, they demonstrate their strong support of high school baseball.

Please enjoy this message from Dave St. Peter concerning our new partnership.

In conclusion, best of luck to all our remaining teams for your upcoming State Tournaments, the Central Division-leading Minnesota Twins, and to all the various youth programs playing baseball throughout our state.

Sincerely,

Craig Anderson – Executive Director MSHSBCA
