Mauer is one of the greatest three-sport athletes in the history of Minnesota high school sports, graduating from Cretin-Derham Hall in 2001. Mauer is being inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in July, 2024. He is a first-ballot Hall of Famer!
During his senior year, he was National Player of the Year in football as a quarterback, National Player of the Year in baseball as a catcher, and All-State in basketball.

Whether it be staying after practice for extra work, doing field work and ballpark improvements, offseason training, youth camps, etc.. He can always be counted on and has been gifted with great ability. Like Joe Mauer, Jack does not take it for granted, is always humbly striving to reach excellence."
